GrubDaddy here

Are you a swinging bachelor sick and tired of eating cereal and hot pockets? Do you have a special someone in your life and want to impress him/her but haven't the slightest clue on what to make? Are you having the guys over to watch the game or the ladies over for book club and don't just want to serve the simple chips and dip (and HUGE bottle of wine)?  Do you want to make something delicious that doesn't take a lot of time, doesn't exert a lot of effort and doesn't cost a lot of money?

Well, you've come to the right place.  I'm not interested in meals that take an hour of prep time or meals where there are crazy techniques like "kneading," or "poaching" and I'm certainly not interested in meals with ingredients that I've never heard of or ingredients that I'll use one or two times in my life.  This is a bachelorhood (or bachelorette) lifestyle, but bachelorhood doesn't have to be dull and boring in terms of what food you make.  The GrubDaddy will put a little spice in your life and also try and refrain from referring to himself in the third person.

Some of these meals are easy and are literally a meal in a box in which all you do is boil water.  Others are still easy, but a bit more complicated like my various forms of chili.  But either way, you can start to eat better and can keep the Frosted Flakes on the shelf for lunch and dinner.   (keep them out for breakfast though, Frosted Flakes rule!)

So be prepared to get a lot of "ooooooh's" and "ahhhhhh's" from the food you make, and just know that while it may look like it took a bloody fortnight, it really only took 15 minutes.

You can also follow me on Twitter at Grub_Daddy and I'll post updates to the blog as well as recipes that I find online that are quick and easy
